Summer Drawing Competition

Unleash your creative talents and get involved in this community project to help keep our village tidy and protect our precious wildlife.  ‘Stop Littering NOW’ is the Summer Drawing Competition theme this year at Fenton’s.  

With Climate Emergency declared locally as well as nationally we at Fenton's, with Judy Thain one of our Parish Councillors, are encouraging children and young people to stop people littering.  

The winning entries will win some art materials and have their design made up into all weather signage to be displayed around the village.  

A4 size entries only please.  Categories ages 5 - 10 years and 11 - 15 years.  Please put your first name only and a parent or carer contact number on the reverse of your entry.  Pop it into Fenton's anytime before 30th August.  Winners announced 7th September.

Shopping Morning

Please support our Market Place shopping morning 9.30-midday Friday 5 July. We have started small and would love to grow to bigger things. 

We have some great gift ideas and cards on offer as well as the amazing Claire Joan from Berry Farm taking meat orders fit for the king of BBQs this weekend with sausages and burgers all on offer and produced right here on your doorstep! We also have eggs on sale freshly laid here in South Cerney, please bring your own box (limited egg stock).  

We will continue running these events if we get the support of the community, we would love to see as many of you as possible. The TRO team will be serving a variety of drinks as well as tempting cakes and light lunches all for your pleasure so please do pop in and see us here at Fenton’s Community Centre.

Reusable cups come in all shapes and sizes here at TRO Cafe @ Fenton’s we are always looking for new ways to do our bit; cutting down on cafe waste is a priority.  Please feel free to bring your own cup along and we will be happy to fill it for you.  Why not sign up to our loyalty scheme and get your 11th hot drink free!

Someone loves lunch here

All feedback is appreciated here at Fenton’s - but it’s extra nice when it’s positive and arrives on a grey, rainy day.  Thank you to one of our regular Centre visitors for this.
‘Love working out of Fenton’s.  My lunch today Spanish quiche, salad and pesto pasta. £6 for all of it including can of diet coke.’

Soft play and stay session

Here at Fenton’s Community Centre we’re delighted to pilot our very 1st stay and play session this TUES 11th June 10am - 12.30pm. We’ve teamed up with SK Party Solutions and TRO Cafe to bring pre school soft play to our timetable.  The session is £4 per child + their adult (£1 for additional siblings) and includes a hot drink from TRO Cafe after your play session. The session is a drop in one so turn up and play whenever you like! All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Socks must be worn at all times in the sports hall. Number restrictions may apply if it’s very popular.

Shopping Morning supporting local businesses

We’re excited to host another shopping morning this Friday 7th June 9.30-midday. We have some great stalls and local businesses promoting themselves so please come and have a look. Unusual gifts and cards for family and friends right here on your doorstep. TRO Cafe open at 9.30am so why not pop in!
