Fenton’s Answers Questions

Q: Where is Fenton’s?

A: Teal Way, right in the middle of South Cerney!  So you can walk or cycle there easily, via Ham Lane or The Limes.

Q: How can I book it?

A: To use the main hall or the group room, go to Bookings and submit your request through the Hallmaster system.  Click on the date to see availability, and request a booking by clicking the + sign for the time you are requesting.  Rhian will confirm the booking, or advise further.  (The first time you use Hallmaster, you’ll need to log in as a new user.)

Q: How much is it to book?

A: To begin with, the charge is £12 per hour (including VAT and heating) for both the main hall and the Group Room and £6 per hour (including VAT and heating) for residents wishing to book for sports and clubs.  Day-rates are available for the Group Room, upon request.

Q: When is Fenton’s open?

A: The building can be used between the hours of 08:00am - 23:00pm.

Q: Does Fenton’s have Wi-Fi?

A: Of course!  Currently it is free, but if it’s abused, we’ll have to reconsider.

Q: What’s happening to the Village Hall?

A: Nothing; we still love that too.  The Village Hall is ideal for many clubs, meetings and activities.  Fenton’s has been designed to complement the Village Hall, not to complete with it.  In due course, bookings for South Cerney Village Hall will also be possible through the same Hallmaster system.

Q: What about dogs?

A: Only Assistance Dogs are allowed in the building, but the café does have an outside terrace.

Q: What if the main hall is too warm for my game of badminton/ dance class?

A: The ‘wind-catchers’ in the roof open with the touch of a button.

Q: Can I hire the main hall for my child's party?

A: We don't take bookings for parties at Fenton's but The Village Hall is perfect for them with kitchen facilities and room for a bouncy castle!
